Happy Vocals Academy was born from the wish to create a quick and easy way to book fun and engaging singing lessons online. The brainchild of artist and vocalist Hilda Cecilia, it caters to both professional and beginner singers, regardless of their location and previous singing background. Our Story
Hailing from Sweden, Hilda Cecilia completed her BMus Performance specialising in Jazz Voice at London College of Music in London, United Kingdom. Additional courses have included a Professional Certificate in Jazz Composition and Arranging through Berklee Online at Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States. Further studies also include Music Production, Recording Techniques and Choral Singing with Children at The Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Seeing singing students reach their goals and achieve their dreams gives her great joy!
Always eager to stay on top of the latest vocal research and methods, she is currently enrolled on the 3-year Complete Vocal Technique Singing Teacher Diploma course at the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark. The estimated graduation year is spring 2026. Complete Vocal Technique offers a comprehensive approach to healthy singing in all styles based on the latest research and voice anatomy.
The Happy Vocals Academy teaching philosophy is that a lesson should be fun whilst also giving the singer the tools to improve their technique straight away. A typical singing lesson starts with a song or phrase picked by the singer. By working on tunes of your choice that you enjoy singing, you will find that your motivation increases as the straightforward technical exercises provide the tools to sing with more freedom.
